It's Called Christmas

There was a man sittin next to me

at the DMV, on December 15th

He said I love this time of year

with so much good cheer, as the day draws near

He offered holiday greetings and introduced himself as Al

But when he wished me "joyous season", I just looked at him and said "hey pal..."

I believe it's called Christmas

I believe that's the word you're looking for

I believe it's called Christmas

Can't we just say it anymore?

Yeah, I know it's a 'winter holiday'

and a 'festive season' too

but I believe it's called Chistmas, Yes I do

Al turned and he looked at me

as if he disagreed but he said "I get it"

then he revealed something more

He was a man of the Lord, and he was glad I said it

He said in this modern, PC world, His name is barely heard

how could anyone be offended, by that one glorious word

He was in the first nativity scene

He accomplished alot by age 33

He brought vision to the blind

before He bore the sins of all mankind

He even changed the way we number our years

So let's honor the day of Jesus's holy birth

by calling it what it is

and I believe it's called Christmas

I believe that's the word you're looking for

no other word but Christmas

Let us say it forevermore

Yeah we know it's a winter holiday

and festive, gladsome, joyous, happy holiday season too

but it's really called Christmas

because it’s true
