Stranger Than Truth
© 1991 Michael D. Renneker
I don’t believe there’s such a thing as paradise
But I believe in certain things worth having for the price
Won’t hold my breath waiting for the world to live as one
But I can offer up just one kind word to someone
I shift my focus from the mountains to the field
Bringing it all in line
To something real
Chorus
Bu t stranger than truth
I feel like a man in a foreign land
Holding your hand
Stranger than truth
I feel like a child running wild
Flashing the killer smile
Stranger than truth
I don’t believe we’re witness to the final days
But I believe we’ve got to take some action anyway
It’s easy to direct our hate and fear at the abstract, but we’ve
All got our own little space, for our own little change
I shift my focus from the White House to town square
Looking for hope where I can find it
Everywhere
Chorus
UFO’s don’t leave any clues
It seems there’s never any proof of anything
Fortune tellers are usually wrong
And I’ve yet to find a four leaf clover
But if you’ve got love then there’s your miracle
The search is over
