The Day The World Changed

So many hopeless days and nights

Amidst the dirty rags that became my life

Had no clue

Of what life could be with You

Like wounded soldiers on the battleground

Lie the things I’ve used to try and turn my life around

All in vain

Except for one event on one particular day

 

The day the Son broke through, all fear and doubt removed

And love filled the world, when God walked the earth

Free from the wrath of sin, made pure and whole again

And love filled the world, when God walked the earth

Then the three days passed and the stone rolled back

And revealed an empty grave

On the day the world changed

 

For days thereafter, He was seen

Word spread far and wide and more believed

What a great surprise

Our Redeemer was alive

From a tiny ripple to a mighty wave

His love spreads out from then until this day

Alive in me

Is the love that changed the course of history
